GP Rating
GP Rating means General purpose Rating. GP Rating candidates are those who have been trained in both Deck and Engine Room tasks. Such ratings may be employed either in deck department or Engine department according to the needs of the company.They perform tasks related to Seamanship
DNS Course
The one Year DNS Course is a course leading to B.Sc.(Applied Nautical Science) after 18 months of sea service & also leading to 2nd Mate Foreign going Certificate of competency awarded by the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India, enabling the cadets to become officers on board
B.Sc Nautical Science
Three year B.Sc. Nautical Science course is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping (Govt. of India). It is a course leading to Second Mate's Foreign-Going Certificate of Competency awarded by the D.G. Shipping after 12 months of Sea Service
Marine Engineering
Marine Engineering course is a course leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the ministry of shipping(Government of India), after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Navy ships anywhere in the world.
Naval Architecture
Naval architecture also known as naval engineering , is an engineering discipline dealing with the engineering design process, shipbuilding, maintenance, and operation of marine vessels and structures. Naval architecture involves basic and applied research, design, development, design evaluation and calculations during all stages of the life of a marine vehicle.
DME Course
This is a two year Pre-sea training course for Diploma Holders (DME) leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the Directorate General of Shipping (Government of India), after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Naval ships anywhere in the world. This course is strictly residential.
GME Course
Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) Course is a one year Pre sea Training course for Graduates those who have completed BE /B Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture. GME is a course leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the Ministry of shipping
ETO Course
Electro Technical Officer (ETO) Course is a Four months Pre sea Training course for Graduates those who have completed Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication/ Communication Engineering or Electronics.
BBA Shipping
BBA Shipping is a management education course that focuses on the shipping sector. The course covers general management and business administration lessons. Apart from that, the course also covers aspects of shipping, such as – liner trade, port operations and charting, customs procedure, transportation and distribution management
MBA Shipping
MBA is a PG course. Technically, it is a postgraduate management education program.MBA programs are available in two main formats in India- general management course (general MBA) and specialization (sector-specific MBA) course. MBA in Shipping and Logistics Management is a sector/industry-specific course.
OCCP Course
OCCP course has been introduced by DG Shipping keeping in a view about the requirement of the shipping industry with regards to availability of catering screw. It was felt that there is amble scope of employment, for such candidates who have qualified hotel management, in cruise shipping and passenger liners.

HND Nautical Science
To develop the competency required to enable the student to carry out his duties as a Deck Officer in the Merchant Navy.To provide the student with a qualification which will be accepted by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (UK) as giving exemption from parts of their Deck Officer Certificates of Competency at Class 2 and Class 1 levels, and to satisfy the initial training requirements of the MCA, for entry to Class 3.
Direct Entry Programme
STCW stands for Standards of Training and Certification of Watch keeping. This training program is the minimum requirement needed to begin a career aboard a ship! The basic training course consists of 4 modules, Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid and Personal Safety & Social Responsibility.Once a candidate successfully completes the 4 basic courses, he/she may go for other advanced technical courses like Passenger Ship Familiarization course.
